— The Vision —
Sean's career has taken him through some of the most demanding hospitality markets in the world: New York, Boston, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Istanbul, Miami, and Bangkok. He came to Middleburg on purpose, to build something specific here.
Sean's love of hospitality started with watching his father. Rick was one of the founding figures behind St. Pete Beach's rise as a destination, and while Sean never worked inside the hotels himself, he grew up seeing what his dad built and the way he carried himself doing it. That was enough. He saw a life's work that mattered, and he wanted to follow those footsteps.
What drew him in was the craft itself. How a well-run room changes someone's day. How warmth is built through a hundred small decisions. How a team's discipline becomes a guest's ease.
He went on to earn both a bachelor's and a master's degree from Les Roches, then stepped onto the floor as a manager after graduation.
Sean has managed properties across several major markets. Each taught him something different: pace and precision in New York and Boston, the expectations of luxury in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the cross-cultural polish of Istanbul, building culture in Miami, and a sense of hospitality rooted in genuine warmth in Bangkok.
He brings that experience to Middleburg, not as a list of credentials, but as a working understanding that a great room is a great room anywhere.
Middleburg was a deliberate choice. Sean wanted the challenge of getting a small-town room right, earning a community's trust, and building something from the ground up.
He is here to help shape what VEC becomes.
Accountability
Sean's approach to the job is straightforward. The room's success or failure rests with him. Decisions, service, guest experience, he owns them.
"At the end of the day, any mistake we make as a team falls on my shoulders."
Sean is here.
He chose Middleburg, and he chose to build something that lasts.
